Lake St. Clair Chapter Boat4Vets Annual Outing

Our new home is at The Harbor Club in Algonac, Michigan and the Algonac VFW, who is co-hosting the event. We look forward to a bright and successful partnership with both The Harbor Club and the Algonac VFW. All veterans are invited to join us at the VFW in Algonac with boat rides departing from The Harbor Club next door.
Boat captains and crews meet at 9:30am
Vets please arrive at 10:00 am.
Your day starts with coffee and donuts at the VFW, followed by a boat ride with one of our captains. Upon arrival back ashore you will be provided with a meal and prizes. Please bring your spouse, friend or caretaker and enjoy the day with us.

Meet Co-Commander Chris Young
Chris started as a volunteer six years ago under his dad, Forrest Walker. Chris is married to his best volunteer, Stephanie, and together they have four children. Chris is committed to carrying on the Lake St Clair tradition.

Meet Co-Commander Adam Wolyniec
Adam has been involved with Boats 4 Vets for more than a decade, joining the organization sometime between 2013 and 2015. While he may not remember the exact year, his dedication to the mission has remained constant ever since.
His passion for fishing and boating began as a toddler, when both of his grandfathers introduced him to life on the water. Those early experiences sparked a lifelong love of fishing that naturally led him to Boats 4 Vets.
Adam has known Chris since they were in second grade and met Forrest in 2000. Soon after, the three of them were spending nearly every weekend boating and fishing together, building lasting friendships and creating countless memories on the water.
His appreciation for the military also started at a young age. After watching Top Gun long before he was probably old enough to appreciate it fully, he became fascinated with military aviation. Visits to his aunt’s home near Selfridge only fueled that interest, as he eagerly watched fighter jets take off whenever he had the chance.
Today, Adam is proud to combine his lifelong love of boating and fishing with his respect for those who have served our country. Through Boats 4 Vets, he enjoys helping create memorable days on the water for veterans, giving back to the men and women who have sacrificed so much while sharing the outdoor experiences that have meant so much to him throughout his life.
